FRIDAY COCKTAIL - THE NOR' EASTER!
Appropriate, of course, after the recent weather hit to much of the North East. This cocktail is a take on the classic Dark and Stormy. It brings together a bit of the South (KY Bourbon) and flavors of the North East like maple syrup which compliments the taste of the bourbon.
Ingredients:
2 oz good Bourbon (Old Crow preferred)
1/2 oz fresh lime juice
1/2 oz maple syrup
splash of ginger beer
lime wedge for garnish
In a shaker, combine bourbon, lime juice and maple syrup. Add ice and shake 12-15 times. Strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice. Leave about 1/2 inch of room at the top and fill with ginger beer. Garnich with a lime wedge.
A TRUE NOR' EASTER!
